The first year of the buy local program, BUY IN, generated nearly $2 million additional dollars to businesses located in Linn County. Approximately 150 businesses participated by pledging to review their “out of area” purchases to see if they could identify local businesses that provide the same products/services to meet their needs. Thank you to the businesses that pledged and made their shift. If your business would like to pledge to participate in the program, please click on the “Get In” to register your business. Once you make a shift in your purchases, please “Report In” to have your data added to the total.

The average business shifted $13,000 in products and services.
The most popular shifts were printing products and/or services, followed by office supplies.
Most products/services shifted were purchased out-of-state prior to the shift.
